Over the past couple of years our province has had a bunker crop of fawns as our winters seem to be changing with less snow at the crucial times and the coyote population is at a slight decline due to the pressure put on them by the trappers ,but this has to continue as they can rebound very quickly . Hopefully in the next couple of years we will once again be producing world class record bucks as we were 20 years ago . We still produce them but it takes a lot of hard work in finding them .

Here in Pennsylvania we started an antler restriction about 3 seasons ago. The restriction in my area is 3 pt. to one side and in western areas it is 4 pt. to one side. Along with a higher doe permit count. The results are starting to pay off. I see bigger bucks and the does don't seem any less {except the ones in the garden}. They keep increasing. The undergrowth in our forests was about non existant. If you got down to deer eye level you could see everything below browse level was gone. It is starting to make a come back
